D-518 Inbhear Deas

Relief lifeboat

D class lifeboat D-518 Inbhear Deas was stationed at Skegness lifeboat station for a short period in late 2007.

The lifeboat was involved in one notable rescue shortly after launching on exercise with the station's all-weather lifeboat Lincolnshire Poacher on 22 October 2007, when the yacht Pavana got into trouble just off the coast of Skegness.

The full story of this rescue was captured by Area Fundraising Manager Mark Spruce who had been invited to join the crew of the Lincolnshire Poacher for the exercise. Read the full story here.
