Busy Sunday for Skegness ILB

The Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) initially launched at 11:30 to supervise some record attempt at Ingoldmells for the most number of inflatables in the water at one time.
As they arrived there, they were requested to help a small broken down fishing boat with two people on board halfway between the Lynn wind farm and Skegness. A crewmember was transferred to try to get the engine going, while they towed the boat back to the boating compound at Skegness.
They got the engine going on the fishing boat as they neared the beach, and were diverted back to Ingoldmells for an inflatable (not part of the record attempt) with 1 person on board, blowing offshore. The person made it ashore before the lifeboat got there, so the crew returned to the record attempt event.
After the event (which didn’t require any intervention from the lifeboat) the ILB headed back towards Skegness only to be called back to Ingoldmells for another inflatable, with 1 kid on board, but they made it ashore before the boat got there.
The final call out was at about 4:30pm, the ILB was called to a person reported to be struggling in the water at Ingoldmells Point. Again, they managed to make it ashore without assistance.
