'Team Lifeboat' wins dance competition
An unlikely team of eight Skegness RNLI lifeboat crew members has won the Stars in The Spotlight variety show dance competition.

The show, organised by Anne Roberjot-Roberts and Sally Hobbins in aid of The Butterfly Hospice, was a total sell-out with over 1,100 in the audience.

The lifeboat crew were up against teams from Skegness fire station, Skegness rugby club and the Embassy swimming pool lifeguards. Each team had been assigned to a local dance school and were rehearsing a song from the musical 'Grease' for weeks before the big night.

The crew had been rehearsing 'Greased Lightning' under the expert tuition of Julie Stevens.

On the night, the crew emerged on stage in tights, skirts, wigs and makeup and huge cheers from the crowd. Judges Judy Theobald, John Marshall and Katy Worth were also clearly impressed, announcing the lifeboat crew team as the winners!
