Boston anglers raise 817 for Skegness lifeboat station
Skegness lifeboat crew members yesterday (Thursday) welcomed members of the Boston Pirates Small Boat Anglers Club to the station for a tour of the lifeboats and to receive the proceeds of the club's recent charity angling match.

Station chairman Ron Chapman received the cheque for £817 from club member Colin Smith.

The money was raised during the match by charging £10 per person to launch a boat, and from proceeds from a raffle.

Ron and the crew thanked the club members for their generosity before they were given a tour of the station and the lifeboats by coxswain Ray Chapman.
