A bucket collection held at Morrisons supermarket in Skegness has raised £1,176 for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).
Fundraisers and lifeboat crew members descended on the Wainfleet Road store for the two-day collection on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March, raising nearly £600 each day from generous shoppers.
Fundraising coordinator for Skegness lifeboat, Joan Evison, described the amount raised as a fantastic boost for the station.
Joan added: 'We're constantly amazed by the generosity of the people of Skegness supporting the lifeboat station. On behalf of everyone at the station, a very big thank you to the staff at Morrisons and all the shoppers who threw their change and notes into the collection buckets.'
Skegness RNLI is always pleased to hear from anyone able to volunteer an hour (or more!) of their time to help out at a collection. If you think you can help, please call the station on 01754 763011 or email email@example.com.
