Despite a rain-drenched afternoon, Skegness lifeboat station's annual fundraising day has raised nearly £3,000 for the charity that saves lives at sea.
Various stalls in and around the station along with collections on the day raised £1,799, with a further £1,117 having been collected by lifeboat crew members during the week around various pubs and bars in the Skegness and surrounding area.
Totals for collections at the Hildreds Shopping Centre are still to be totalled, but are expected to take the total to around £5,000.
The station would like to extend a huge thanks to everyone involved in the fundraising effort.
